The 2022 Qatar World Cup has been full of spectacular surprises and upsets depending on who you’re rooting for. Let’s check the latest news!
Brazil have booked their ticket to the Round of 16
Title contender Brazil beat Switzerland 1-0 on Monday to qualify for the World Cup Round of Sixteen despite the absence of Neymar in Stadium 974.
Casemiro scored in the 83rd minute with a strike from inside the box, sending Brazil to the last sixteen with one match remaining in Group G. Also, Casemiro grabbed the man of the match award.

But for a significant part of the game, Brazil was missing the brilliance that their star player Neymar provided in their mid-field, who had been unavailable due to an ankle injury, as they constantly pushed to break Switzerland’s tight defenses but came up empty-handed.
Vinicius Junior was outstanding in the match. He had opened the scoring in the 63rd minute, only for VAR to respond and rule the goal out because of Richarlison’s initial offside position.
Casemiro later broke the deadlock late in the match to send Brazil to the knockout stages, but Switzerland may still enter the last 16 when they face Serbia in their last group stage clash.

Ghana Defeated South Korea in a Stunning five-goal Thriller to Keep Alive in World Cup

Ghana kept their chances of reaching the Round of 16 after a thrilling 3-2 victory against South Korea in their second Group H encounter of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Monday in a five-goal thriller at Education City Stadium.
South Korea dominated the early minutes, controlling possession and delivering multiple balls into the box, while Ghana tried to create an offense.
Ghana took the lead against the chances in the 24th minute when Mohammed Salisu finished from close range after South Korea was unable to clear a free kick, and Mohammed Kudus scores another goal with a diving header to give the African nation a 2-0 halftime lead.
However, South Korea came storming with 2 spectacular headers by Cho Gue-sung, three minutes apart, to equalize the score line.
Mohammed Kudus scored the game-winning goal in the 68th minute after slipping past a diving Kim Seung-Gyu while unmarked in the penalty box.

Another excellent performance by Mohammad Kudus. He has now scored 13 goals this season. Ajax is another big market value-bagged player. Today was overwhelming Mohammad Kudus managed the midfield and attack alone in the last match!
